Carleen Rachel Wetmore, 81 of Lincoln, Rhode Island passed away at The Holiday Retirement Community in Manville, Rhode Island with loved ones by her side on February 14th, 2024. Born to Whitman Woodrow Chandler and Rose Mary Chandler, Carleen is survived by her three loving children, Gerald Wetmore of Blackstone, MA; Heather Bisshopp of Harrisville, RI; and Jonathan Wetmore of Lincoln, RI as well as her six grandchildren, Gerald Wetmore of Pascoag, RI; Jamie Wetmore of Mapleville, RI; Julia Harmon-Jackson of Woonsocket, RI; Rachel Dawley of Worcester, MA; Jonathan Wetmore of Lincoln, RI; and Benjamin Wetmore of Lincoln, RI
Carleen was also the proud Great Grandmother of 10 great grandchildren.

A selfless woman with a tireless work ethic, Carlene spent twenty-five years working as the Office Manager at Providence Casket Company in Lincoln, Rhode Island.

Carleen was the undisputed backbone of her family. She put her children, grandchildren and great children above all else. Her home in Lincoln, RI was a hub for her family where many memories were made and where holidays and family get togethers were held.

Carleen’s number one passion was certainly her family but she also enjoyed nature, gardening, her cat Belle and New England sports, specifically Tom Brady. She also enjoyed going out to eat and encouraged folks to eat ice cream

Carleen impacted the lives of many and was deeply loved by her family. Living an honest life and doing things “the right way” was important to her and she truly embodied what it is to be a “Good Person.” She is and will be forever sorely missed

An open memorial service will be held on February 24th at Keefe Funeral Home at 5 Higginson Avenue, Lincoln, RI from 2:00 p.m to 4:00 p.m. Burial Private.
